Molly Churchill

Molly is an associate at Falconers LLP and a graduate of the joint Law and Social Work program at McGill University, where she earned an MSW alongside her degrees in common law and civil law. Upon graduation, Molly clerked for the honourable Mr. Justice Leonard S. Mandamin of the Federal Court of Canada, working almost exclusively on a complex s. 35 litigation file involving a claim against the Crown by seven Anishinaabeg communities in south-central Ontario. She was called to the bar in Ontario in 2017 and worked at a small litigation firm promoting Indigenous rights prior to joining Falconers LLP in 2018.

As a student, Molly did pro bono work with a Filipina women’s organization in Montreal, and spent a summer as a research assistant at the Transitional Justice Institute in Northern Ireland. Additionally, thanks to a fellowship from the Centre for Research on Children and Families, Molly worked for two years as a member of the research team of the Jordan’s Principle Working Group.

Molly was born and raised in downtown Toronto, and is the daughter of Irish-American immigrants to Canada. She loves food, basketball, and music – as well as her big extended family.
